Formby Hall has always held a special place in their hearts, making it the perfect choice for Michelle and Lewis’s wedding day.
What first attracted you to your wedding venue and what made you decide that it would be perfect for your special day?
I’ve always loved Formby Hall. A lot of my friends and family have been married there and it holds amazing memories for me and my loved ones. The venue is stunning inside and out. The grounds of Formby Hall are very well maintained, and we were attracted to the location as it was central for our family and friends. We thought this was the perfect for our wedding day as we knew the venue well.
Can you tell me about your theme if you had one, the inspiration behind it and how you incorporated it into your wedding?
We always wanted a winter wonderland wedding as it was a dream of mine as a little girl and I’m a winter baby too. Our inspiration for this was created from one of my friends wedding back in 2018 which was a December wedding too. It was amazing to have a Christmas tree up whilst getting married along with the Christmas decorations, it was a magical vibe!
How did your venue go above and beyond in ensuring everything was perfect on the day?
Well, everything was perfect from start to finish! Honestly, the staff on the day went above and beyond to ensure the day was stress free and plain sailing. The team were so professional and friendly. They had ensured the food came out in a timely manner, everyone’s needs were met and they genuinely couldn’t do enough for everyone.
Who was your chosen Photographer and why did you choose them?
We chose Jacque Prates Photography who we found on social media. We wanted a very relaxed vibe with our wedding pictures to keep the day very chilled. She executed this very well whilst capturing the most amazing natural relaxed pictures of guests enjoying themselves.
If you could pick one word to describe your wedding, what would it be and why?
Perfect. The day was perfect from start to finish due to the team at Formby Hall. One guest described it as a military operation, however, chilled at the same time. Every person we have spoken to after our big day said it’s the best wedding they have ever attended.
